Pak Ou Caves

LikeNear Pak Ou the Tham Ting and the Tham Theung are caves overlooking the Mekong River, 25 km to the north of Luang Prabang. They are a group of two caves on the west side of the Mekong river, about two hours upstream from the centre of Luang Prabang.
A nice trip by boat on the Mekong to visit these caves.

Nice place to visit on a long weekend in Luang Prabang. If you don't want to take the boat from Luang Prabang city, you can take a minivan up North to reach the opposite bank, it takes around 40 minutes.
