Today let's change from simple hot dog to Lao cooking style. Hot dog spicy salad is very popular as Lao street food. It's one of my favorite spicy salad dish :)

Ingredients

• 8 hot dog, make slices as bite sized
• 8 fresh red chili, roughly pound
• 10 dried hot chili, roughly pound
• 3 Asian red shallots, make thin slices
• 4 cherry tomatoes, cut into half
• 2 limes, cut into slices
• 4 branches of culantro, cut into thin slices
• 2 tablespoons of sugar
• 1 teaspoon of MSG, optional
• 1 tablespoon of fish sauce
• 2 tablespoons of Lao fermented fish sauce (padek)

Preparation

1. Boil water then add hot dog and cook about 3 minutes. Take it out and let it cool down.

2. Prepare a large bowl, add sugar, msg, fish sauce, and fermented sauce. Mix well.

3. Add fresh chili, dried chili, lime (squeeze and pieces) , and cherry tomato. Mix them together.

4. Add hot dog, mix gently and adjust the taste. Finally add culantro and red shallot. Ready to enjoy. Zap :)
