Kaeng Som Kai is a local chicken soup that need to be served when guests are visiting you. Here is the recipe from Vang Vieng town.
Step 1. Boil water, add salt, tamarind paste, lemongrass, galangal, chili, and Knorr cube.
Step 2. When the water is boiling, add chicken and fish sauce. Keep boiling until the chicken is cooked.
Step 3. Add onions, tomatoes, and boil for about 5 minutes more. Then add coriander and culantro. Serve with steamed or sticky rice and eating with chili sauce. Zap!
